In sports, there are great players, that play the game likes its their life, they wear the game on their face every time they compete, making them the greatest athletes of all-time.

Michael Phelps- Every 4 years the olympics come around, an there is only one olympic athlete that's on every one's mind, an that is the "Baltimore Bullet", last year is the the prime reason why he's at number one on my list, he showed the world what is possible from the world of swimming by getting a unprecedented 8 gold medals, beating the previous record of 7 set by another great swimmer in Mark Spitz. Phelps is the greatest swimmer and olypian of all-time.

Tiger Woods- With the most pretigious events in golf, there is only one athlete that stands above them all, an that is Tiger, he is one of the reason's why golf is a major sport in the United States, Tiger has won multiple major championships, making him one of the greatest golfer's to play the game of golf.

Cal Ripken Jr.- When it come's to America's pastime, there is one man that resembles that, an that is the "Iron Man" himself, he played the game the way it should be played, he never missed a day of work, no matter if he was injured or just didn't feel well, he would suck it up an go out an play the game he was born to play. Ripken is the greatest athlete on and off the baseball diamond.

Michael Jordan- When it come down to the slogan "everyone wants to be like mike", it surely is true, by the way this man play's the game of basketball, one of the most passionate athletes of all-time, he took the court againist some of the greatest basketball players, an over come them all, making Jordan the greatest athlete in hardwood history.

Wayne Gretzky- When it comes to the game of hockey, the "Great One" is surely the answer, he changed the face of hockey, with he skill, speed and he's unreal ability of scoring goals. Gretzky, the most unsensational hockey atlete of all-time.

Muhammad Ali- Everytime you think of boxing, you think of the most greatest of them all, Muhammed Ali, his fighting style was like no other, he would wear you out till you can't go any more then he go in for the knockout, his fighting style resembles the great words of his, "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee", Ali, one of the greatest boxer's of his time and generation.

Roger Federer- With Roger Federer the most competitive athlete in tennis history, he makes it exciting to watch tennis, with the way he moves up and down the court and the intensity he play's with, making him the greatest athlete to hold a racket and play the sport of tennis.

Usian Bolt- With the title of fastest man on earth, you know that he ranks in the top ten of greatest athletes of all-time, he is the prime reason that it is fun watching track, the most recent sign of greatness was when he broke 3 world records, making him the greatest runner in track and the world of sports.

Baltimore Ravens: Week 1

The Ravens Headed On To The Field, With The Emotion And Energy Of The Fans Pumped For A New Season. The Ravens Got Off To A Fast Start With The Defense Playing Fast And Intense Trying To Set Up The Offense With Great Field Poistion. The Offense Took The Field, Joe Flacco Threw A Couple Of Bullets To Derrick Mason And Newly Aquired Wide Out Kelley Washington, The Ravens Had To Settle For A Field Goal Off The Foot Of Steve Hauschka. On The Next Drive There Was Much More Greatness From Young Arm Flacco, When He Used His Escape Abilty To Avoid Would Be Tacklers An Throw A Strike To Running Back Willis McGahee For The Touchdown, Then In The Second Quarter There Was Some Misfortune When The Chiefs Special Teams Blocked A Punt, Off The Foot Of Sam Koch, That Play Helped The Deflated Chiefs Team To Get Back Into The Game. Then The Chiefs Defense Made A Play, By Intercepting A Pass Of The Arm Of Flacco, An Ran The Ball Back Intill Flacco Made The Play, They Took The Lead After That When Brodie Croyle Threw A Pass To Dwayne Bowe For A Touchdown. The Ravens Got The Ball Back An Got A Touchdown On A Connection From Flacco To Todd Heap. The Chiefs Made A Couple Of Plays An Got A Field Goal Off The Foot Of Mr. Irrelevant; Ryan Succop. Then From There The Ravens Took The Lead With A Run By FullBack Le'Ron McClain, The Chiefs Took The Lead On A Controversial Play, They Were Done After That. Flacco And The Ravens Took Over And Got A Touchdown On A Perfect Throw And Catch To Mark Clayton. Then Ray Lewis And The Defense Took Over An Ended The Chance Of A Comback From The Chiefs. They Put The Final Touchs On The Game When They Got A Touchdown Off The Legs Of McGahee. In Week One, The Ravens Showed A Different Style Then They Are Used Too, The Ravens Got Bailed Out From Their Offense, This Is A Great Sign For The Ravens, Because Some Weeks The Offense Will Be There, An If They Are Not There Will Still Have Old Reliable Too Back Us Up In Ray Lewis And The Defense. One Problem I Have With The Ravens Is More Soild Special Teams, So That Has To Be Resolved So We Will Be Ready In All The Phases Of The Game. Well There Is Alot Of Promise Here In Baltimore, So Lets Wait And See What Happens With The Ravens In Week Two And Deep Into The Season. .Steroids In Major League Baseball

Today in sports, there are many different players in each of the top two major sports that are using or have used performance enhancing drugs, the sports include the NFL and MLB. When it comes to Steroids, MLB is at the top. It's a shame that America's past time is being ruined by idiot's that want to cheat. The real question is baseball still America's past time, even though many baseball players are using steroids.To me baseball is not to the point where the reputation of America's pasttime is in question, but if this keeps on happening then we have a problem. So I am hoping that players will realize the effect they are having on the reputation of baseball. It has got to the point where the President is talking about it and Congress is getting involved. Well, I think that congress should stay out of it, They have more important things to take care of instead of worrying about players that are cheating themselves and the game of baseball. The players that are at the top when it comest to Steroids, are Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark Maguire and Jose Conseco. Barry Bonds has the most home runs in MLB history, with using steroids, I think that Hank Aaron deserves to be number one because he was playing during the pre Era of Steroids in baseball. Roger Clemens trys to deny that he has ever used Steroids. He needs to be a man and admit that he was wrong. Mark Maguire and Jose Conseco are big parts of the Steroid Era in baseball. All these players should us Cal Ripken Jr. as a model that you don't need Steroids to be a hell of a player. Just like Cal Ripken Jr, you don't need Steroids to have a big affect on the game of baseball, you just need the will to play every game and not cheat to put up numbers that will get you into the Hall of Fame. Steroids in MLB has a big affect on the players that are not using steroids and the fans that follow baseball. This means that all the players not using Steroids are going to be accused by association and the fans that follow may get sick of all the cheating and maybe they may disown the game of baseball. If all the palyers and trainers that are involved with Steroids, they need to take a minute and think about the effect they are having on other players and fans and think about a change because if not they are disappointing the fans and the game of baseball. We need to get together and fix this problem of Steroids in MLB and save the game of baseball.

A Bright Future In Birdland!!!

Now that the Orioles are bringing up the next big part of the future here in Baltimore, as in Nolan Reimold, Brad Bergesen, Jason Berken, David Hernandez, and finally the biggest of them all Matt Wieters. From the debut of Brad Bergensen to the debut of the number one prospect in the majors Matt Wieters, it seems that the Orioles are heading into the right direction in making the Orioles a winning team and bringing back the passion and dedication of the fans of the Baltimore Orioles. So for the farewell fans of Baltimore its time for you to just have faith in the future of the Orioles, they may not be winning now but soon the winning ways will come back so just stick around, the Orioles need as much support as they can get to get thorough these tough times of losing. For the fans that have stuck by the whole time through tough days of losing to the great times of winning, my hats off to you and I want to see them win as much as you want to, I am a Baltimore Orioles fan to the end. Even though the winning ways are not here yet, you have to be happy with seeing the young players come up and try to make a name for themselves and turn around the losing to winning. I hate seeing the Orioles lose as much as I hate the Yankees; I hate them with a passion. So just seat back and relax and watch the change that is coming to the Orioles in the near future, just look at the guys they are bringing up and the guys that are sill waiting for their chance to shine. So to all the diehard Orioles fans, you will be getting what you wanted for a long time, some winning enough winning to turn them boos into cheers. When I look at the Orioles I see a team with a storied history of winning, the days of Orioles magic and the nights of comebacks. There has been a lot of tradition here in Baltimore for a long time, and I want to see that in the faces of the modern Orioles. It’s been a long time coming; to see the Orioles finally turning into a winning ball team makes me feel like anything is possible. I hope that this makes you feel happy for the Orioles in the future. I can’t wait to see the big crowds at Camden Yards, the cheering, and the passion through out Baltimore. I hope to see you all there when they finally turn the Orioles back into that powerhouse baseball team that we all have come to love here in Baltimore.
